On the Horizon: Upcoming Projects for IRD

With a couple leaks here and there, we have been relatively quiet. The reason is that we realized timing is everything is this business and we want to release at the opportune time. That time is NOW. I apologize for the delay of The Fetus, the only things that are left to do is get the graphic artwork edited (minor) and to send the tracks through analog tape. If it wasn't for the tape, this would have been released last month, but we decided we are willing to push it back, if the final product will have a better quality. I am going to break down a list of the projects coming up, but not too much detail...

-The Fetus (album): 15 tracks and 1 skit. This will be the last album featuring Ox the Prophet and Jballs. When The Fetus comes out, there will be a much more thorough explanation of the album and how it was made. 
Release Date:  Early October
-"True Colors" (single)- This is BY FAR the most important and star packed release to date. We went to a producer and MC that not only have a major foundation in the hip hop world, but they are arguably considered the best in the game by fans and fellow artists alike. I will not say anymore, but we are hoping this track will get us the exposure that we are yearning for. 
Release Date:  Early October
-The Sleeve (super project)- Since producers and rappers come a dime a dozen, we know that we have to be incredibly original and unique to get some shine. This being said, we decided to take it, not to the next level, but a level never seen before. Here's the formula: 10 tracks X 10 mixtapes= 100 mind numbing songs, causing a fatal audio overdose. We are in the process every week chipping away to get to the century mark. This is something special, we already have a handful of no doubt classics, and we're not even half way done! You will soon be flooded by audio dope...
Release Date: Starts early 2011 and will continue though out the year
-Pretty Lights EP- Monster producer, Pretty Lights, who is raping the festival and big show scene, is the type of music that hip hop needs to get into. PL combines soulful samples with hard, head nodding electronic leads, wobbling bass and insane arrangement complexity. The EP will be 6-7 tracks, using beats from the 5 of Pretty Light's releases. I am excited to see this finished project and I hope so will the PL fans. More PL EP's will follow since PL continually is releasing new music. 
Release Date: 2011, sometime
-Ratatat EP: Some of you may already heard of Ratatat on Kid Cudi's album, Man on the Moon, on the song, "Pursuit of Happiness". Ratatat has made their love of hip hop known by dropping 2 remix albums to many popular hip hop songs including Jay-Z's "Allure". Spitty really loved one of the Ratatat beats and when he showed us what he did with it, we all said this needs to be a full project. Again, expect 6-7 tracks and the beats will chosen from the Ratatat instrumental albums. Like the PL EPs, this will be a continuous series of EPs because Ratatat continues to drop heat.
Release Date: 2011, sometime
*NOTE: All release dates are tentative. I wish the could be definite, but life is crazy and new projects arise. We will work as hard as we can to get you this material by the release date stated. 

We are all excited for the future because a lot of the projects we have coming up should make a buzz for us in the industry and outside of New York. We appreciate the support, and we REALLY appreciate it when you spread the music around. A lot of the new stuff will be FREE, so there's no excuse not to shoot someone the link, burn them a CD or throw it on their Ipod.
