This bad boy took about 2 hours to lay the instruments down and another 8 hours to layout and edit (I was up to 4:30 one night working on it). This instrumental is a power punch of heavy kicks, blazing synth guitar riffs, and a sea of powerful crashes and symbols. This is what to expect when you hear beats from the IRD camp from now on. Multiple drum arrangements, break down on beats, instrument solos and major modulation fx on almost every instrument. This beat is extremely intense and only lets up for a few seconds here and there. Expect some real filth nasty spit to be drenched over this beat once Spitty gets on it.

This shit is beyond what you hear in hip-hop beats nowadays, mainstream and underground. I grew up on boom-bap, heavy sample style hip hop beats, but to be honest, that sound is getting really boring and doesn't give me the same feeling as it used to. I have no idea why artists now try to make their music sound like the "Golden Era of Hip-Hop" because why would you want your music to sound like it was made in 1994? The technology today is way more advanced and the tools musicians have access to are endless. Producers have to be innovative, creative, and exploitative to catch someone's ear in this saturated music industry. A simple horn sample and a generic kick and snare with a high hat @ 1/4 notes just doesn't work unless your name is DJ Premier or Pete Rock. Sorry for the rant,  that's how I feel about most of the producers today. Follow the likes of Cut Chemist, DJ Shadow, and the Beastie Boys who released instrumental albums that can be listened to without lyrics. Maybe a Wreking Krew album is in the works... Anyways, I hope you appreciate the sound and go share it with your friends.
