
Spitty Crack in studio with Brucey B, Feb 12.
I had the oppurtunity to record with Spitty this past Friday at the UNC Asheville Studio while it was snowing outside. Spitty laid down vocals for seven new songs and remixes while I was on the other side of the glass behind the board. I lined up three mics in the booth to get a different sound from each. We used a Sennheiser MD421 mic through an outboard dbx compressor giving a real nice low end sound to Spitty's voice. Along with an AKG 414, and of course the Neauman TLM-103. The session went real well since we weren't strapped for time and since Spitty is extremely on point with all of his material. He had each verse memorized and enough energy to blow a hole through the roof. Check out this video to see:
